Regarding pricing and buyers, it is the family's hope that the Cayman will go to an enthusiast who can give it a good home, but it's a free and open auction and dealers are welcome to bid.
There is a pretty healthy range between dealer wholesale price (max that a dealer would pay, needing to resell at a profit) and private party sale price (what an enthusiast / private buyer would pay). If a private buyer really wants this car, they can bid it up past the wholesale price range and still come out with a very good deal in the end. No sane dealer is going chase bids too far past the wholesale range because their profit starts shrinking or goes away. They will look somewhere else to make easy money.
